In Croatia my hosts were good friends of my cousin Jean. They were wonderfully friendly, charming, and graciously and generously
hospitable. Their country is strikingly gorgeous, a treasure on the Adriatic I am so glad I got to experience. As usual, though,
I want to go back! I want to visit the islands, I want to get to Dubrovnik, and I want to take the ferry to Venice.

Changing engines for the train at the Croatian border. (HZ stands for Hrvatska Zeljeznica which means Croatian Railways.)

I took the train from Austria to Zagreb, passing through Slovenia, also part of the former Yugoslavia. At each border our
train cars (wagons) got a different engine to pull us to the next destination and we had multiple requests for our passports
and tickets.
